About time- we at Enertia have been doing zero carbon buildings for twenty years, based on Biomimicry. Problem solved.
The technology is at www.EnergyWithoutOil.org
and the houses are at Enertia.com

Some of the bigger ones are actually carbon-negative, as they are built out of Nature's carbon fiber- and sequester carbon.

We were on the Green Building episode of Discovery's Eco=tech Tuesday night and the phone is ringing off the hook.
But we can't make the millions of homes needed by ourselves,
Enertia is Energy from a shift-in-time. The shift is coming.
